After observing both horse and rider in action at many rodeos and other horse events, I could see not just horses had problems but the riders as well. I noticed riders with neck and back problems, headaches and poor physical shape. Tylenol and aspirin are a way of life for many of these athletes. I then realized many of the problems in the horse’s performance were due to the rider’s physical limitations. So I started working with riders only to see them enjoying their sport more because of how well they felt.
I feel my school is unique because it addresses both horse and human performance problems through weight training, massage, and nutrition. Being in the fitness business since 1963, I strongly feel a fitness program for students is very important to their future as an Equine Massage Therapist. To do a thorough job on a horse, it requires strength and stamina.
I have also learned that if school is fun, people always learn better. As you read my course outline you will see my school is just that, fun. Also you will notice, this is not your typical 9-5 school. Our days begin with breakfast and end in the late evenings. Experience has shown me that much valuable knowledge comes forth In relaxing fun times after the class of over at dinner. This will be more than a school…it will be an experience.
I’ll see you at school!

One very important reason that I do not mention in the Top 10, although it is VERY important…
